Ubuntu - latest version (12.04) supported

  1. Download the software version according to your firmware version
  2. Make it executable
    • Go to Terminal/Konsole
    • sudo chmod +x ubuntu-usbpicprog-install-script.sh
    • type your password if asked
  3. Execute the script by typing in the console one of the following commands
    • ./ubuntu-usbpicprog-install.script.sh
    • sh ubuntu-usbpicprog-install.script.sh
  4. Restart your system to give yourself access to the usbpicprog hardware as a general user in the plugdev group.
  5. After restart, plug in the usb pic programmer and run the software
  6. To use the programmer successfully, click here
